The Bulloch County Animal Shelter has moved into the new facility! The new shelter houses 48 cat kennels and 48 dog kennels (holding & adoption floors combined), a huge increase from the capabilities of the old facility. In addition, 1- 25 feral cats can be housed in our outside cat area. We have also renovated part of our old shelter to house more dogs that come in sickly or for court cases. That gives an additional 18 kennels for dog holding.
The new shelter features a spacious waiting room, public bathrooms, and two adoption rooms for future pet owners to get to know potential pets.
For more information about the Shelter and to be able to view our adoptable pets, please check out our new website at…
You can also find our adoptable furbabies on Petfinder.com!!

Sometimes the Shelter may not be opening at the exact normal time due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise with the animals, so we ask that you always call the shelter first before coming. Especially, if you are surrendering in a animal. Even with a new and larger facility, we still fill up very quickly. Each space is on a first come first serve basis, and we keep a high demand for them daily. If we don’t have the space available we can not take the animal in. So please always call before bringing.
