The County Commissioners plan on adopting a final Fiscal Year 2018 millage rate of 12.34 (same as FY16 and FY17).
NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a millage rate, which will require an increase in property taxes by 1.22% percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Bulloch County North Main Annex, 115 North Main Street, Statesboro, on August 15, 2017 at 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase will be held at the Bulloch County North Main Annex, 115 North Main Street, Statesboro, on August 22, 2017 at 8:30 AM.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 12.34, an increase of 0.149 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 12.191 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $7.15, and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $7.45.
