AQUATIC GUEST SERVICES SUPERVISOR (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for managing the Guest Services and Marketing operations at Splash in the Boro. Duties will include oversight of the front desk and gift shop, coordinating marketing of the park and its programs, facilitating special events, supervision of seasonal staff, and assistance with programmatic and operational needs of the facility. Preferred qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or Hospitality with two years of guest services, marketing and/or event promotions experience (or an Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience). Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license. First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire, required. Starting pay is $33,197. Position will be open until filled.
CONCESSIONS/SERVERS/COOKS (PART-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Bulloch County is now accepting applications at Mill Creek Regional Park and Splash in the Boro for part time/seasonal help. Employees will offer park visitors fast, friendly and accurate food service. Some knowledge of food and drink concessions preferred. Ability to deal with the public and co-workers in a professional manner. Ability to understand and use a point of sale system, give correct change, and maintain an accurate amount of funds in the cash drawer always. Capacity to learn all areas of concessions. Will perform daily set up and food/station prep. Provide excellent customer service. Place food orders quickly and correctly. Serve food and drink orders promptly and with precision. PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION SUMMER INTERN (PART-TIME TEMPORARY) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Bulloch County is seeking an intern to begin a paid assignment on May 1, 2018. The individual selected will perform tasks related to grant administration, contract management, capital projects management, and tasks related to document/records management and retention. Expected activities include research, correspondence, report preparation, and assistance with software needs. The selected individual will also have the opportunity to participate in meetings and site visits associated with bids, contracts, and capital projects. Acceptable driver’s history and criminal background are required. To qualify for this internship, candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program OR must have graduated from college no more than one year ago. The internship period is May 1, 2018 through September 1, 2018; the intern will work no more than 200 hours during the period. The pay rate will be $13.00 per hour. CHIEF MECHANIC – FLEET (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the operational activities of the vehicle/equipment maintenance department and for performing, directing and supervising mechanical work on automobiles, trucks, tractors, grading machines and other heavy equipment. Duties include prioritizing, scheduling and assigning maintenance and repair work; diagnosing and evaluating mechanical issues on fleet vehicles and equipment; and training, supervising, and reviewing the work of fleet personnel. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and three to five years of related experience. A valid Georgia driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and air conditioner repair certification required. ASE certification preferred. Minimum starting pay is $16.77 per hour (DOE). Position will be open until filled.

- Concessions/Servers/Cooks – We are now accepting applications for food service employees at Splash in the Boro (Aquatics Concessions) and Mill Creek Regional Park (Athletics Concessions). Some knowledge of food and drink concessions preferred. Will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand and use a point of sale system.
MOTOR VEHICLE SPECIALIST (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for performing tasks associated with motor vehicle titles, registrations, insurance compliance, ad valorem taxes and sales tax collections. Duties include examining and approving documents; calculating, processing and collecting taxes and fees; preparing reports, forms and other documents; and responding to questions. Must be able to function well in a high-stress environment with constant customer interaction. High school diploma or GED required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to be bonded and obtain security access. Two years’ experience in a clerical, data entry and/or bookkeeping role preferred. $11.29 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
TRUCK DRIVER (FULL-TIME)– ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for operating a front loader and/or roll-off vehicle to collect solid waste refuse in Bulloch County, transport materials to the transfer station/recycling facility, and redistribute empty trash receptacles. Duties also include supervising inmates and assisting in vehicle maintenance. A high school diploma or GED is required. Qualified candidates must have (or be able to readily obtain) a valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR), and the ability to become P.O.S.T. certified within 6 months of hire. $10.47 per hour. EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for maintaining athletic fields, park areas, and facilities. Candidate must be able to operate mowers, tractors, dump truck, and small engine equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance. Job responsibilities include removal of trash and leaves around facilities, preparing athletic fields for play, and general maintenance of parks and other grounds. Candidate should have one to three years’ experience. A valid Georgia driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Position will be open until filled.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Can you operate heavy equipment? (Motor graders, excavators, bulldozers?) Would you like to train to become a correctional officer? This job will allow you to do both! Employees in these positions operate various heavy equipment and supervise inmates for the purpose of maintenance and construction of county roads, drainage systems and special projects. Requirements: experience operating equipment, a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and a high school diploma or GED. Selected employee must become POST-certified within 6 months of hire. Excellent benefits package.
DEPUTY-JAIL (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff. This is an entry level position in the Sheriff’s Jail Operations Division and will involve prisoner supervision including but not limited to initial intake/search, booking, housing/feeding, transport, and reception. Successful applicants will attend training to receive State of Georgia Jail Deputy Certification with all associated expenses paid for by the Sheriff’s Office. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to apply to attend the Georgia Police Academy after one year of service. Experience in the public safety/security field or prior military service is preferred but not required. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving and criminal history. $12.35 per hour.
