AQUATICS MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (FULL-TIME) – OPEN – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for an Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for performing daily maintenance and repairs on attractions, facilities, and equipment, develop and implement preventive maintenance schedule on all equipment, facilities, and attractions, and monitor water quality and perform daily inspections of pools, filtration systems, pumps, and features. This position is responsible for training and supervising part-time seasonal maintenance staff.
The successful candidate must have at minimum a high school diploma or a G.E.D. with bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of two (2) years related work experience with formal training in plumbing and electrical systems a plus.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) certification required or be able to obtain within the first 3 months of employment. Certified in first aid and CPR or able to obtain within 3 months of employment. Must have a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia. Salary range starts at $31,598.56. Office Assistant (Full-time) – CLOSED – No Longer Accepting Applications
The Bulloch County Public Works Department is accepting applications for full-time Office Assistant. This position performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, cashiering, data processing, payroll, and bookkeeping for various departments including Transportation, Solid Waste, County Engineer, Code Enforcement, and Buildings and Facilities. Applicants should have the ability to perform cashier duties accurately; ability to effectively meet and deal with the public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and the ability to handle stressful situations. A high school diploma or GED is required; course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting, and book keeping; and two years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Building Inspector (Full-time) – Open – Accepting Applications
Bulloch County’s Building & Zoning Department is accepting applications for a Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer. This position performs a variety of routine and complex technical work in building inspection work to insure that uniform building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, energy conservation, and other codes and standards are met. This position is also responsible for enforcing state and local codes and ordinances duties in a backup capacity, performing technical work to ensure that all codes and ordinances are adhered to throughout the County. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. and two (2) years experience related to inspection, law enforcement, building inspection, land use, public administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia. Pay range is $15.19-18.98 an hour depending on experience.
Equipment Operator (Full-time) – CLOSED – POSITION FILLED
Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for an Equipment Operator. This position is responsible for maintaining athletic fields, park areas, and facilities according to the directions of the Parks Supervisor. The candidate must be able to operate equipment including mowers, tractors, dump trucks, and small engine equipment to maintain all parks and grounds areas. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. and have one to three years of relevant experience. Must have a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, and have or be able to obtain a CDL issued by the State of Georgia. Pay range is $10.75 – $13.44 depending on experience.
Landscape Supervisor (Full-time) – CLOSED – POSITION FILLED
Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for a Landscape Supervisor. This position is responsible for directing, supervising, and carrying out all landscaping needs in the landscape beds for the Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department and in conjunction with other county maintained buildings. This position supervises/evaluates assigned staff (including 2-5 part-time staff members and community service workers), handles employee concerns, directs work assignments, counsels and disciplines employees when necessary, and completes employee performance appraisals. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D.; five (5) years of related work experience specific to landscaping, with one (1) year of supervisory experience, preferred. A certificate in horticulture or a closely related field is preferred. Must have a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, and have or be able to obtain a CDL issued by the State of Georgia. Pay range is $13.76-$15.48 depending on experience.
