AIRPORT LINEMAN (PART-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for directing aircraft to the appropriate parking position, fueling aircraft, and testing fuel for quality assurance purposes. Duties also may include providing light custodial maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and facilities; collecting money for sales and issuing receipts; and meeting and greeting the public. A GED or high school diploma, as well as a valid Georgia driver’s license with satisfactory MVR, required. Starting pay is $8.62 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
DEPUTY CLERK – PROBATE COURT (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position performs various tasks related to the operation of the Probate Court. Duties include maintaining indexes, securing records, issuing and recording permits and licenses, and preparing and filing reports. The incumbent will perform office duties including answering calls, assisting the public, typing, and filing. Candidates should a valid Georgia driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and some general office experience. $11.87 per hour. Position will be open until May 28, 2018.
ANIMAL SHELTER ATTENDANT (PART-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position performs various tasks at the Bulloch County Animal Shelter, including animal care, customer service, recordkeeping, and facility maintenance. Duties include cleaning and feeding of animals, assisting customers with adoptions, and assisting with facility needs, all within a fast-paced environment. Candidate must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and be able to obtain certification from a local veterinarian in order to give medication. Employee must be able to work both weekday and weekend hours, including holidays. $7.60 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
PROBATION OFFICER (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for supervision, surveillance, and counseling of probationers, as well as coordinating rehabilitative and community resources for those under supervision of the Probation Department. Duties will include interviewing and orienting new probationers; establishing and maintaining reporting schedules; compiling and maintaining required documentation; and consulting with judges, attorneys, and community resource providers. Must be at least 21 years of age. Associate’s Degree or four years law enforcement experience as a P.O.S.T. certified peace officer strongly preferred. Position will be open until filled.
MECHANIC (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for maintaining machinery, equipment, vehicles, etc., and insuring that all equipment is safe and in working order. The employee performs preventative maintenance and repairs, and maintains all records, as well as supervising the shop area, including all tools and hand tools. Three to five years of relevant experience is required, along with a valid Georgia driver’s license and satisfactory driving history. Position will be open until filled.
CONCESSIONS/SERVERS/COOKS (PART-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Bulloch County is now accepting applications at Mill Creek Regional Park and Splash in the Boro for part time/seasonal help. Employees will offer park visitors fast, friendly and accurate food service. Some knowledge of food and drink concessions preferred. Ability to deal with the public and co-workers in a professional manner. Ability to understand and use a point of sale system, give correct change, and maintain an accurate amount of funds in the cash drawer always. Capacity to learn all areas of concessions. Will perform daily set up and food/station prep. Provide excellent customer service. Place food orders quickly and correctly. Serve food and drink orders promptly and with precision. - Aquatics and Related Positions – Splash in the Boro – We are now accepting applications for various jobs at Splash in the Boro, including Lifeguard and other aquatics positions. - Concessions/Servers/Cooks – We are now accepting applications for food service employees at Splash in the Boro (Aquatics Concessions) and Mill Creek Regional Park (Athletics Concessions). Some knowledge of food and drink concessions preferred. Will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand and use a point of sale system.
TRUCK DRIVER (FULL-TIME)– ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for operating a front loader and/or roll-off vehicle to collect solid waste refuse in Bulloch County, transport materials to the transfer station/recycling facility, and redistribute empty trash receptacles. Duties also include supervising inmates and assisting in vehicle maintenance. A high school diploma or GED is required. Qualified candidates must have (or be able to readily obtain) a valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR), and the ability to become P.O.S.T. certified within 6 months of hire. $10.47 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for maintaining athletic fields, park areas, and facilities. Candidate must be able to operate mowers, tractors, dump truck, and small engine equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance. Job responsibilities include removal of trash and leaves around facilities, preparing athletic fields for play, and general maintenance of parks and other grounds. Candidate should have one to three years’ experience. A valid Georgia driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Position will be open until filled.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Can you operate heavy equipment? (Motor graders, excavators, bulldozers?) Would you like to train to become a correctional officer? This job will allow you to do both! Employees in these positions operate various heavy equipment and supervise inmates for the purpose of maintenance and construction of county roads, drainage systems and special projects. Requirements: experience operating equipment, a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and a high school diploma or GED. Selected employee must become POST-certified within 6 months of hire. Excellent benefits package.
DEPUTY-JAIL (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff. This is an entry level position in the Sheriff’s Jail Operations Division and will involve prisoner supervision including but not limited to initial intake/search, booking, housing/feeding, transport, and reception. Successful applicants will attend training to receive State of Georgia Jail Deputy Certification with all associated expenses paid for by the Sheriff’s Office. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to apply to attend the Georgia Police Academy after one year of service. Experience in the public safety/security field or prior military service is preferred but not required. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving and criminal history. $12.35 per hour.
