HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for operating various heavy equipment and supervising inmates for the purpose of maintenance and construction of county roads, drainage systems and special projects. Candidates must be able to operate a variety of heavy equipment including motor grader, excavator, bulldozer, etc., and be willing to work in an outdoor environment exposed to hot, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Knowledge of Department of Corrections guidelines preferred. Candidates must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as well as a high school diploma or GED. Selected employee must become POST-certified within 6 months of hire. Starting pay depends upon experience; minimum is $12.89 per hour. Position will be open until filled.

THERAPEUTIC/ADULTS 50+ SUPERVISOR – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising instructional programs for children and adults, including therapeutic and adult 50+ programming, after-school programming for children with special needs, and special events. The individual selected will implement and supervise daily activities of youth and adult instructional activities and programs county-wide and supervise staff to ensure assignments are complete. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the principles, techniques, policies and procedures related to the provision of therapeutic, youth, and adult 50+ programming. Four year college degree in recreation or related field required. Two years’ experience in working with community based programs preferred. Certification in Therapeutic Recreation programming preferred. A valid Georgia driver’s license and satisfactory driving history are required. Starting pay is $32,547. ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN/RECEPTIONIST – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for a variety of routine clerical and administrative duties, customer service duties, accounting duties such as data entry of invoices for payment as well as the preparation of checks for bank deposits, and providing support to others in the Finance Department. Hourly Pay begins at $11.07. Applications will be accepted through close of business on March 6, 2017.
PART-TIME TRUCK DRIVER – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for operating a dump truck to transport material to various work sites in Bulloch County. Qualified candidates must have a valid Georgia Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR). This is a part-time position (29 hours per week), with a pay rate of $12 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER/CORRECTIONAL OFFICER – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for business office activities at the Bulloch County Correctional Institute, specifically in the areas of budget, finance, operations research, program management, policy development, procurement, bookkeeping, personnel and payroll, records management, and clerical support. The Business Office Manager maintains accounts, prepares reports, compiles and updates records and files, and assists the shift as needed to ensure efficient and effective operation of the facility. A Georgia driver’s license is required. Skill and experience in similar roles strongly preferred. Starting pay is $14.17 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
RECYCLING CENTER ATTENDANT (PART-TIME, AS-NEEDED ONLY) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position, which involves staffing a Bulloch County Recycling Center, is responsible for greeting the public in a professional and courteous manner, providing information about the disposal of recyclables and household garbage, and assisting customers when necessary. Candidates must be willing work holidays and weekends. (NOTE: This position will serve as a back-up to existing staff and will only work on an as-needed basis. No hours are guaranteed.) Pay rate is $7.45 per hour. Position will be open until February 24, 2017.
AQUATICS DIVISION MANAGER (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Aquatics Division Manager oversees operational activities of Splash in the Boro Family Waterpark & Aquatic Center to include evaluating operations, preparing and monitoring budgets, supervising personnel and ensuring the safety, satisfaction and enjoyment of Park guests. Other duties include overseeing guest relations and risk management activities, participating in Park development projects and interacting with other Parks and Recreation Department employees and citizens. Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in the field of park and recreation administration or a related field with a minimum of five years full time, year-round progressive experience in management of a comparable program. CORRECTIONAL OFFICER/BUILDING OFFICER – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for insuring the safe, legal, and humane custody and care of persons incarcerated at Bulloch County Correctional Institute, including supervising of inmate activities, facilitating the transfer of inmates to and from other facilities and work details, and maintaining security of the facility. The Correctional Officer screens mail/packages, conducts inmate searches when needed, and completes required paperwork. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED as well as a valid Georgia driver’s license. Candidates must have the ability to obtain POST certification within 6 months of hire. Starting pay is $11.95 per hour (non-certified). Position will be open until filled.
HAND DETAIL/GROUND CREW CORRECTIONAL OFFICER (FULL-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for supervising inmates involved in right-of-way maintenance on county roads, including shoveling of dirt/sediment from drainage areas/pipes, clearing, tree removal, and removal of debris and trash. Candidates must be willing to perform both labor and supervision duties and to work in an outdoor environment exposed to hot, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Knowledge of Department of Corrections guidelines and experience with hand tools preferred. Candidates must have a valid Georgia driver’s license as well as a high school diploma or GED. Selected employee must become POST-certified within 6 months of hire. Starting pay is $11.67 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
AQUATIC MAINTENANCE WORKER (PART-TIME) – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
This position is responsible for maintenance and minor repair activities on attractions, facilities and equipment at Splash in the Boro. Candidates must possess the ability to work independently to perform duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to work in an outdoor environment exposed to the elements including hot, cold, and wet or humid conditions. Experience working with tools or using equipment such as pressure washers and vacuum pumps is preferred. Candidates must have a valid Georgia driver’s license. Starting pay is $7.35 per hour. Position will be open until filled.
