CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER (Full-Time) – CLOSED – NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Bulloch County’s Building & Zoning Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time Code Enforcement Officer. This is position responsible for performing technical work to ensure that all building and zoning codes and ordinances are adhered to throughout the County. This position is also responsible for identifying potential code violations relating to mobile homes, signage, nuisances, hazardous sidewalks or other conditions, housing conditions, noise, dumping, clearing, grading, filling, polluting, or other code related matters. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. and two (2) years experience related to building inspection, law enforcement, land use, public administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to become a certified Code Enforcement Officer within 2 years of employment.
Must have a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia.
Pay range is $13.10-$19.65 an hour depending on experience.
Criminal background check and driving history are required prior to hire.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER – WORK DETAIL (Full-Time) – OPEN – Accepting Applications
This position is responsible for supervising inmates involved in right-of-way maintenance on county roads. The duties of this position are varied; serving as a hand labor detail performing various duties including but not limited to picking up litter, maintaining drainage systems, clearing of vegetation. This position exercises supervisory control over inmates. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, and be P.O.S.T. Certified for Corrections Officers (CO). Certified Correctional Officers will be hired starting at $11.91 an hour. Drug screening, background check, and driving history are required prior to hire.
