This committee was created jointly by the City of Statesboro and Bulloch County. It shall consist of 12 members. All members are appointed by the Bulloch County Board of Commissioners, except for the Ex-Officio Members. The Ex-Officio members consist of the Bulloch County Board of Commissioner’s Chairman, the City of Statesboro Mayor, the City Manager, the County Manager, and the Airport Manager. Appointed members will each serve a six-year staggered term.
The Board of Elections and Registration consists of 3 members to serve a 4-year term. Members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Elections meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 1:30 pm.

The Coastal Area District Development Authority is a private non-profit corporation that operates separately from the Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center. The CADDA Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis, the second Wednesday of each month, at the Smokin’ Pig restaurant in Midway at 12:00 noon.

The Board of Commissioners submits 2 names, usually Board members, to the CRC to serve a period of time concurrent with their elected office. The City of Statesboro and the Town of Brooklet submit 1 name each.
The Terms of office are for one (1) fiscal year from October 1st thru September 30th or until replaced. The Council meets quarterly at the time and location to be determined by committee or staff.
The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners serves as the Chairman of the Health Board, additionally there are: 3 more from the County which includes 1 from the Medical profession, 2 from the City, and 1 from the Board of Education. Term: 6 years.

On or before March 1st of each year, the Commissioners shall be advised in writing by the Authority of the names of the member whose term is ending. After such notice, and prior to May 15th, the Board of Commissioner shall compile and submit to the Hospital Authority 3 nominations. The Hospital Authority then votes from those nominations to fill a term. Officers are elected annually in September by the Hospital Authority and take office October.
Term: Present Board members will serve a 7-year term. All future appointments will be for a 4-year term.
The State requires members to be from agencies that fund the library. The members serve a 3-year term and can serve no more than 2 consecutive terms, or six years total. For more information, please contact Jennifer Durham, Regional Library Director, at 912-764-1328.
In accordance with the bylaws adopted when the MCUDA was formed, each member county shall have two (2) Voting representatives on the board of directors. The County Commission of the respective county they represent appoints the representatives for each county. The board meets quarterly on the third Wednesday of the month. Members shall serve a term of four (4) years.
The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of 7 members who serve staggering terms. New appointments that are made will be for three (3) years. Any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manners as the original appointment. The Board of Commissioners is responsible for the naming of the individuals to the Commission.
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities maintains a Regional Planning Board for each of the six regions across the state. Appointments serve 3-year terms. Appointees must be either a consumer of disability services, a family member of a consumer, an advocate of disability services, or a local leader or business person with an interest in mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, or addictive diseases.
The County Board of Tax Assessors, appointed for a 6 year fixed term by the county commissioner(s) in all counties except one, is responsible for determining taxability, value and equalization of all assessments within the county. The County Board of Tax Assessor notifies taxpayers when changes are made to the value of the property; receive and review all appeals filed; and insures that the appeal process proceeds properly. In addition, they approve all exemptions claimed by the taxpayer.

The County Board of Equalization, appointed by the Grand Jury, is the body charged by law with hearing and adjudicating appeals to property values and assessments made by the board of tax assessors. (Note: An arbitration method of appeal is available to the taxpayer in lieu of an appeal to the board of equalization at the option of the taxpayer at the time the appeal is filed.)
The 3 member commission is appointed by the Judge of Superior Court for a 3-year term.
